American Legend

The Most Famous American Roadster

Carroll Shelby put a Ford big-block V8 into a light British roadster and created a legend.

The 427 Cobra uses Ford's 7.0-liter V8 with a 4-speed manual, in a car that weighs about 2,500 pounds. Compared with the earlier 289 cars, the 427 has wider fenders and a coil-spring chassis.

Original 427 Cobras are among the most valuable American cars ever built, and continuation cars built by Shelby carry their own serial numbers. We document which is which before any deal.

This one is blue with white stripes, restored to show grade.

Every car we list comes with a written condition report and its history before you commit. Financing is available through our collector-car lenders with soft-pull pre-qualification, and we deliver to all 50 states in an enclosed, insured transporter. Ask about this car or keep browsing the collection.
