The McLaren That Moved The Goalposts
When the 720S landed it made supercars costing twice as much look slow, and it still does.
Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 makes 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft, sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch. McLaren quotes 2.8 seconds to 60 mph and a 212 mph top speed.
The car is built around the carbon fiber Monocage II tub, and its hydraulically linked suspension gives it a ride that is calm on the road and flat on the track. The doors lift up and out, so getting in is easier than it looks.
This one is Glacier White in Performance spec with the carbon exterior pack and shows 6,200 miles.
